Brian’s Travel Story

Hi travelers!

My name is Brian and I’m one half of the human side of Highway Tails. Without a doubt I am the organizer of our trips. When not traveling, I enjoy spending my days searching for new travel opportunities on Google Flights and planning intricate travel itineraries that may never be used. Furthermore, I’m an avid exercise-aholic and video game enthusiast. To date, I have visited 10 countries around the world and 39 states here in the US. My longest and greatest adventure was when I lived in Israel for 8 months in 2014.

I’m also always excited to talk about the top item on my bucket list: visiting all 30 MLB stadiums. I grew up with a love of all sports, but early on I gravitated toward baseball as my main sport. Unfortunately, I suffered a moderate sprain of my rotator cuff in high school and had to stop playing. Luckily, that hasn’t stopped me from traveling the US to watch baseball! I’m super excited to talk about my travels while offering some tips and tricks for others!

Born and raised in central New Jersey, I am a lifelong Yankees fan and an ‘aggressive’ driver. For several years following high school I drifted from university to university before winding up at The University of Oklahoma, where I met Brittany at my first OU football game. I eventually graduated with degrees in International Studies and Accounting. After a short stint in the accounting world, I decided to return to school and pursue a graduate degree in International Affairs concentrating on Security Studies in the Middle East. My interests lie in the region and I hope to have the opportunity to travel throughout the region in the near future!

Feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions about our travels or just want to talk about international affairs!

In the meantime, happy travels!
